Baseball Blurbs: 6-28

Here are your daily blurbs.

ChiCubs 7 Colorado 3

A sh*t ton of home runs

Carlos Gonzalez had 2 (11,12) for the Rockies. But Aramis Ramirez (7,8) and Carlos Pena (15,16) had two more. Cubs win!

Cincinnati 5 Tampa Bay 0

Hereeeeee's Jonny

In his first game back in Tampa Bay since playing there from 2003-2008, Jonny Gomes blasted a home run off the Tropicana Field catwalk in the 4th. Gomes now has hit nine fair balls off the catwalks, the most in Trop History.

Atlanta 3 Seattle 1

Brian & Brandon

Sounds like a terrible buddy cop TV show
. Looks like a damn good battery for the Braves. Brian McCann continues to bash balls, going 3-4, with a home run (his 5th in the last 8 games). Meanwhile, rookie Brandon Beachy mowed down nine by way of the K in six innings, allowing just one run for his third win.

Cleveland 5 Arizona 4

Cabrera and Cabrera

Holy Buddy Cop Shows Batman! Asdarubal hit a two run bomb in the first. Orlando hit a tie-breaking solo shot in the ninth. And when you put the two together, you get a win for the Indians and the most politically incorrect logo in sports!

LA Angels 4 Washington 3

Angels get 200,000 hits, still need walkoff to win

LA had 16 hits. But until the ninth, they only scored three runs, just in time for Jordan Walden blow yet another save (his 6th) on a home run by Danny Espinosa. Luckily, a bases loaded shot up the middle from Cesar Izturis did the trick.

LA Dodgers 15 Minnesota 0

Minnesota Sucks Again

They gave up 25 hits. 15 runs. Scored none of their own. And have now lost six in a row. So much for getting back in the Central Race...but it's not like anyone predicted that...

Detroit 4 Toronto 2

I Don't Care

San Diego 4 Kansas City 3

No One Cares
